Faculty position is in the Geosensing Systems Engineering & Sciences (GSES) program.
The anticipated start date of this appointment is September 1, 2022. Applications received before December 1, 2021 will receive priority consideration.
Qualifications
The applicant must have an earned Ph.D. in geomatics, geodetic science, geology, geophysics, computer science and/or a related field of civil/environmental/aerospace/electrical engineering with expertise in the broad area of geospatial observations including satellite or airborne remote sensing, machine learning and artificial intelligence, photogrammetry and machine vision, signal processing and geospatial analytics.
We are particularly interested in candidates who harness these techniques to answer scientific questions related to hydrology, coastal resilience and sea-level rise, natural hazards, solid Earth and the cryosphere. The appointment is anticipated at the assistant professor level.
