GRSS Webinar Program
GRSS is committed to providing its members with quality educational products to promote continuing education and foster the maintenance of knowledge in the field of remote sensing in geoscience. To this end, GRSS offers three series of webinars, free of charge for GRSS members, covering a wide range of topics and remote sensing issues. The Monthly series with Distinguished Lecturers and the Educational series offer the opportunity to purchase IEEE Professional Development Hours (PDH), a currency that measures participation in a formal continuing education event.
Monthly Webinar Series
This monthly series of live webinars broadcast by IEEE.tv, aims at offering GRSS members a monthly webinar on cutting-edge topics in geoscience and remote sensing. Topics cover a wide range of areas of remote sensing such as big data and machine learning, optical and radar remote sensing and their sensors, data processing and analysis, monitoring and ground applications, and more… The webinars are available on-demand for members and non-members on the IEEE GRSS Resource Center and made available to the IEEE members at large on the IEEE Learning Center.
Educational Webinar Series
This offline educational series offers up-to-date educational lectures on the basics of remote sensing science and technology. It aims at providing students, young professionals, people wishing to continuing education, and the curious minds, with a number of 30 to 60 minutes on-line webinar lectures. The webinars are available on-demand for members and non-members on the IEEE GRSS Resource Center and made available to the IEEE members at large on the IEEE Learning Center.
Environmental Webinar Series
The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society is organizing a new series of live webinars on environmental issues and how remote sensing contributes to a better understanding and management of our planet. The webinars are available on-demand for members and non-members on the IEEE GRSS Resource Center and made available to the IEEE members at large on the IEEE Learning Center.
