ESA Living Planet Symposium, Vienna, Austria, 2025

On Wednesday, June 25th, the Living Planet Symposium (LPS) hosted a special evening dedicated to fostering diversity and connection within the Earth observation community: “Inclusive Networking @LPS”.

Held at the ARCOTEL Kaiserwasser in Vienna from 19:00 to 21:00 CEST, the event provided a relaxed and welcoming space for professionals, researchers, students, and enthusiasts to connect beyond the formal conference sessions. The gathering was designed as an open platform for individuals from all backgrounds to share ideas, discuss challenges, and expand their professional networks in a supportive environment.

The event successfully brought together a diverse group of attendees, reinforcing the vital importance of inclusivity in scientific collaboration and career development. Participants engaged in lively discussions, exchanging perspectives on the future of remote sensing and geosciences, and forging new connections that extended well beyond the evening itself.
