“Best Local YP Activity 2024” Chapter Challenge
The IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society Young Professionals are excited to open applications for the 2024 Best Local YP Activity Chapter Challenge.
The objective of this challenge is to inspire and support new initiatives, programs, and activities at the local level that actively engage the Young Professionals community. These events or programs can encompass technical and non-technical aspects.
We are offering funding to GRSS chapters to organize local activities aligned with the Young Professionals’ goals and objectives. The chapter with the most outstanding activity will not only receive a prize of $1000 and a certificate of achievement but will also earn an automatic selection in the next year’s edition of this challenge.
How to participate?
If your GRSS chapter is eager to embrace this challenge and secure funding to host the best local YP activity of the year, simply apply by October 30, 2023 by filling out this form.
If your chapter is selected, you will receive a minimum of $1000 in 2023, with a deadline until June 2024 to host your YP activity.
A report should be submitted only after the event takes place.

The impact of the event will be determined by the number of attendees, the presence of any significant participants/speakers, partnerships or collaborations with other IEEE organizational units or Industry. All information concerning these points must be included in the follow-up event report.
