Job Description: Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist to join the NASA Carbon Cycle & Ecosystems Office in support of meaningful programs in Earth and environmental science research and applications for societal benefit. This is a full-time position working on-site at Goddard Space Flight Center, alongside NASA civil servants and other contractors.

The North American Carbon Program
NASA’s Carbon Monitoring System
The Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE)
NASA’s Carbon Cycle & Ecosystem Focus Area
Responsibilities:
Support the planning, coordination, and implementation of federal carbon cycle and social-ecological research programs.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify research needs and priorities as well as opportunities for collaboration.
Conduct scientific literature reviews and synthesize research findings.
Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, research institutions, and non-governmental organizations.
Facilitate stakeholder engagement activities, such as workshops, conferences, and meetings.
Prepare and present research findings to diverse audiences, including scientific and policy communities.
Qualifications Include:
Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., environmental science, ecology, atmospheric, terrestrial, or ocean science, sustainability) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience in carbon cycle research, social-ecological systems, or related fields.
