Continuous monitoring of the wind over vast ocean areas by airborne and satellite microwave scatterometers and reflectometers is essential for weather forecasting. The basic idea of the techniques relies on the assumption that the ocean surface normalized radar cross section (NRCS) (for both mono-and bi-static geometries) is correlated with the local surface wind vector.
LuTan-1 (referred as LT-1) is an innovative spaceborne Earth observation mission containing two satellites, feature each an advanced full polarimetric L-band SAR system.
Radar Remote Sensing Scientist About the company Cloud to Street is the recognized authority on using satellites and AI to track floods anywhere on earth.
We are living through a golden age of SAR as commercial satellite imagery providers are rapidly deploying constellations with the latest innovative small satellite designs. As new space companies like Capella shatter supply constraints in Earth observation technology, corporations and individual users are now accessing SAR data for the first time.
To be held: 2-9 July 2021. We cordially invite students, PhD candidates, post-docs and anyone else eager to broaden and deepen their understanding of radar
