Assistant Professor (NOT tenure-track) in Remote Sensing and Earth Observation

There is an open position at Department of Information Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications (web.uniroma1.it/dip_diet/) of Sapienza university of Rome (IT) as assistant professor (NOT tenure track though). The position is for three years and the research activity will be about simulations and data processing in the frame of remote sensing and Earth observation. The candidate should work in particular on the European Space Agency Scout mission HydroGNSS, which has been approved for launch on 2024.  He will do research related to the mission End to End Simulator and Level 2 processing for soil moisture retrieval from GNSS reflectometry technique.

The work will be carried out in the frame of a European international team with many relationships with USA and other researchers in the field.
