IEEE GRSS Distinguished Lecturer Ryo Natsuaki Delivered a Lecture at UESTC Student Branch Chapter

On June 23, 2026, the IEEE GRSS Student Branch Chapter at University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC) hosted an IEEE GRSS Distinguished Lecturer seminar featuring Dr. Ryo Natsuaki, Associate Professor at The University of Tokyo.

His lecture, “Bridging Two Generations of SAR Satellites: From Signal Processing to InSAR Analysis,” introduced the fundamentals of SAR and InSAR before presenting the latest developments in cross-generation processing of ALOS-2 and ALOS-4 data. Dr. Natsuaki discussed key challenges in signal processing, interferometric analysis, and next-generation SAR systems, sharing valuable insights from the ALOS-4 mission.

The seminar attracted both in-person and online participants and concluded with an active Q&A session, promoting academic exchange and discussion on the future of SAR and InSAR research.
