IEEE GRSS and NASA collaborate for Down to Earth podcast Season 4: Open Science
With NASA declaring 2023 as the Year of Open Science, the questions of why and how open science policies should be implemented are suddenly top of mind for scientists worldwide. But where there are questions, there are also answers. That’s why the NASA Transform to Open Science (TOPS) Initiative is collaborating with IEEE GRSS to bring scientists a whole podcast season exploring the ins and outs of open science.
In its fourth season, DTE’s host, Stephanie Tumampos, spoke to 13 scientists and experts who are breaking boundaries in science through the open science movement. The 10-episode season defines, explores, and challenges the different approaches to what will hopefully become a robust open science movement globally. From the very definition of open science to how open science is managed, funded, and communicated, the season delves into the opportunities and challenges that the open science movement presents for scientists and non-scientists alike.
