“Special Stream on Pattern Recognition and Image Processing for Geoscience and Remote Sensing of the SIBGRAPI 2025 – 38h Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images.”

GRSS Special Stream on Pattern Recognition and Image Processing for Geoscience and Remote Sensing of the SIBGRAPI 2025 – 38h Conference on Graphics, Patterns and Images.

This special stream brings together researchers in pattern recognition, computer vision, and image processing to showcase the latest advancements in image analysis and interpretation techniques. It aligns with the core objectives of SIBGRAPI, a leading annual conference in Latin America organized by the Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics, Pattern Recognition, and Image Processing (CEGRAPI) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC). Since 1988, SIBGRAPI has served as a key platform for contributions in these fields. Topics in this stream—ranging from feature extraction, segmentation, and contextual classification to deep learning, multisensor fusion, and 3D reconstruction—complement SIBGRAPI’s focus on cutting-edge research. Additionally, the inclusion of multimodal and multiview methods, as well as dataset creation and evaluation, highlights the stream’s relevance to SIBGRAPI’s diverse, forward-thinking community. This ensures the stream will significantly contribute to the ongoing dialogue in image processing and pattern recognition research.
