GRSS Special Stream on Selected Articles from the Machine Learning for Remote Sensing (ML4RS) workshop at ICLR 2025

This Special Stream invites the top 15% articles from the Machine Learning for Remote Sensing (ML4RS) Workshop that took place in conjunction with the International Conference for Learning Representations (ICLR) on April 27th, 2025. It aims to acknowledge and publish the highest-quality contributions of the workshop in a proceedings-related format to make the research results accessible beyond the workshop itself.

List of Topics

This special stream solicits research papers on key topics in Machine Learning for Remote Sensing, including domain adaptation, concept drift, out-of-distribution detection, evaluation with unlabeled data, model design, semi-, unsupervised, and self-supervised learning, multi-fidelity fusion, federated learning, data-centric approaches, human-in-the-loop and active learning, time series analysis, learning from limited labels (e.g., few-shot, meta-learning), new benchmarks, and considerations of geographic equity and fairness.

It welcomes applications addressing sustainability, societal needs, planetary exploration, and domains such as agriculture, forestry, biodiversity, natural hazards, and other environmental challenges.

Papers may introduce novel methods or apply existing ones, provided they offer new perspectives, expose limitations, or demonstrate societal and environmental relevance through specific datasets or use cases.
