The candidate will be expected to evaluate and apply methodologies for mapping and predicting the distribution of species, fire risk mapping, landuse and landcover changes, landscape types and land resources in different mountainous ecosystems using remote sensing and GIS.
- PhD (must have graduated within the last five years)
- Experience in spectral remote sensing and GIS data processing, algorithm development and validation;
- Very good programming /scripting skills (R etc.);
- Good written and spoken English.
