Your duties would include include the design and development of SAR interferometry algorithms for the creation of global 4D building models and the processing of large SAR data sets:
- Literature research on SAR interferometry
- Generation of 4D-InSAR point clouds (3D positions and motion parameters, e.g. seasonal and thermal deformations as well as linear movements) by Persistent Scatterer Interferometry or SAR tomography
- Development of precise and computationally efficient algorithms for large-scale 3D/4D reconstruction
- Implementation of algorithms and program code on high-performance computers
- Development of explorative data-driven algorithms for SAR interferometry
Requirements Include:
- Completed scientific university studies (university diploma/master’s degree) in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, geodesy or a comparable course of study
- Very good programming skills in a development language (IDL, Matlab, Python) or C/C++
- Experience in SAR remote sensing / SAR interferometry
- Experience in machine learning
- Experience with high performance computing (HPC) with knowledge of MPI and openMP
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Doctorate in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, geodesy or in a comparable course of study desirable
