IGARSS 2020 Update on Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The 2020 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium is scheduled to be held as planned, July 19 – 24, 2020 in Waikoloa, Hawaii, USA. Of course, the safety and well-being of all conference participants is our priority. The Organizing Committee is considering options for IGARSS 2020 in case other plans need to be made to protect the health of our global community.  We suggest that you consider delaying making additional travel reservations at this time to avoid incurring non-refundable fees.

We will continue to monitor official travel advisories related to the coronavirus (COVID-19) and update the IGARSS 2020 website to keep you informed. We will also continue to monitor advisories issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as work with our local venue partners to remain current on their preparedness and recommendations. We urge all travelers to keep informed and check for updated information on these sites:

World Health Organization’s website on the Corona Virus

Centers for Disease Control’s reference materials

Wishing you the best of health and good preparation for IGARSS 2020!
