ESA is interested in supporting your ideas for using edge and cloud computing in space for the next generation of AI-powered space missions, accelerating scientific discovery and enabling new agile applications and innovative business opportunities across space domains.

ESA is looking to support your ideas on how to combine satellites and in-space cloud/edge computing with artificial intelligence (AI) for innovative space applications. With this Campaign, we are soliciting new and challenging mission concepts that push the limits of onboard computing by capitalising on the latest developments in AI and hybrid computing technologies and paradigms.

Proposed mission concepts could cover any space domain while complementing – or possibly augmenting – existing and planned space-based systems. Ideas could address new ways to accelerate Earth and space sciences, new methods for extracting information on the fly, or new applications and services creating new markets.
