Art, Science and Applications of Reflectance Spectroscopy Scientific Symposium

Reflectance spectroscopy is the technique that underlies remote sensing and non-destructive materials measurement. Over the last three decades, technology has evolved significantly while concomitantly a large number of diverse applications have been developed. This evolution has spread reflectance spectroscopy techniques into applications from planetary exploration to over-the- conveyor-belt measurements for process control.

ASD Inc. and IEEE GRSS present a unique two-day scientific symposium, bringing together a very diverse group of researchers and scientists from a variety of disciplines, using reflectance spectroscopy and radiometry in a multitude of measurement and analysis applications.

Two full days of plenary sessions featuring forty internationally recognized speakers from 11 countries, on four continents, with expertise in:

  • Radiometry and Calibration
  • Hyper and Multispectral Imaging
  • Planetary Surfaces
  • Geology
  • Mineral Exploration
  • Vegetation and Soils
  • Snow and Ice
  • Water Bodies
  • Archeology
  • Chemometrics
  • Quantitative Spectroscopy
  • Paper and Pulp Processing
  • Metallurgical Processing

and more

An evening poster session with Student Poster Paper Competition. (information for authors and online submission of abstracts is on the Technical tab)

A gala closing banquet celebrating ASD Inc.’s 20th anniversary with the keynote address by John S. MacDonald, Day4Energy, Canada, and Student Competition awards.
