2011 IEEE Radar Conference

Mid-America Welcomes RadarCon11

Please join us for the 2011 IEEE Radar Conference to be held in Kansas City, Missouri. Easily reachable from anywhere in the USA and via gateway city connections throughout the world, RadarCon11 will provide a rich technical program over a broad array of topics in radar systems, technology, applications, phenomenology, modeling, and signal processing. The conference theme, In the Eye of the Storm, highlights the strong regional interest in radar for severe weather analysis and tracking. Broader implications of the theme reflect global interests such as radar’s role in assessing climate change, supporting myriad defense applications, as well as issues with spectrum allocation and management. Attendees will enjoy an exciting social program centered on the many attractions in downtown Kansas City. Conference Venue

The conference venue is the Westin Crown Center in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. In addition to the many shops and restaurants located next door at Crown Center, nearby attractions include shopping and restaurants at the scenic Country Club Plaza; the new Power-and-Light District with the College Basketball Hall of Fame at the Sprint Center; nightlife at Westport; Science City at Union Station; the 18th & Vine Jazz District; the US National World War I Museum; the Nelson-Atkins Art Museum; the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum; and many other attractions. Throw in more than 100 different places to get world-famous KC- style barbeque, and it’s easy to see that Kansas City offers something special for everyone.

Paper Submission

Prospective authors must electronically submit a paper summary (2-3 pages, including figures) by November 15, 2010. All papers will receive multiple peer reviews; authors will receive timely notification of paper acceptance. If accepted, final papers must be no more than 6 pages and will be submitted electronically. Papers must be presented at the conference — either orally or as a poster — by an author or selected colleague to appear in the final conference proceedings on IEEE Xplore. Formats and complete submission instructions are at www.ieeeradarcon11.org. Student papers must follow the same submission procedure and deadlines, except that the student paper checkbox should be selected during the submission process.
