Prof. Enrico Prati will review the current trends of quantum computing for space applications, the connection with other quantum technologies, the room to achieve quantum advantage and he will provide use cases explored by the Quantum intelligence Lab at the University of Milan in the framework of Italian Space Agency (ASI) and European Space Agency (ESA).

About the Speaker

Prof. Enrico Prati received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pisa in 2002 and did postdoctoral work at Istituto Nazionale di Fisica della Materia (Agrate Brianza, Italy). After being senior researcher of Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche from 2006 to 2021, he is now Professor at the Dipartimento di Fisica of Università degli Studi di Milano where he chairs the Quantum Intelligence Lab. Prof. Prati’s research interests are in the field of quantum computing and artificial intelligence.

He is author of more than 130 indexed publications including Nature group journals (h-index = 27 Scopus and = 31 Google Scholar) and he has been or is coordinator of quantum computing and artificia intelligence projects funded by the Italian Space Agency ASI, the European Space Agency ESA, and the Italian Ministry of research.

EP has been keynote speaker of IEDM conference in 2014.
