GeoAI for urban sensing Summer School

GeoAI4UrbanSensing

About the Workshop

In an era where urban environments are rapidly evolving, the need for advanced technologies to monitor, analyze, and manage urban spaces has never been greater. Remote sensing techniques, combined with cutting-edge AI methodologies, offer unprecedented opportunities to address urban challenges such as sustainable development, disaster management, and infrastructure planning. The increasing volume of Earth Observation (EO) data from satellites like Sentinel provides a rich resource for developing innovative solutions to these pressing issues.

Participants will explore a wide range of topics, including Quantum Computing for Earth Observation, Deep Learning for SAR Data Analysis, Machine Learning for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Emergency Response Applications such as urban flood management. The program will also feature hands-on sessions, allowing participants to apply the techniques discussed in real-world scenarios using popular programming languages like Python and open-source tools.

The school is designed for individuals with a strong interest in GeoAI and urban sensing, including researchers, practitioners, and students. A limited number of grants are available for IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS) student members. To ensure a high-quality learning experience, the number of participants will be limited to 60. All attendees will receive a certificate of attendance and, upon successful completion of the final quiz, an IEEE certification (CEU: Continuing Education Units).

Join us in Tunis for an exciting opportunity to deepen your knowledge, network with experts in the field, and contribute to the future of urban sensing through GeoAI. Don’t miss this chance to be part of a transformative learning experience!
