Position Description

Seeking highly-qualified individuals to perform challenging scientific and technical work focused on remote sensing and image processing. Successful employees have experience supporting leading-edge research and development of advanced sensor data exploitation capabilities.

Leading –edge research and development in the following areas:

• Advanced image processing applications such as 3D reconstruction and data fusion for electro-optical (visual & infrared) sensors, radar and lidar,

• Signal processing for remote sensing applications, including detection and classification of weak signals in clutter,

• Physics-based modeling for sensor and other applications.

Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desired: remote sensing, machine vision, algorithm development, sensor performance models, data fusion, physics-based modeling, and real-time sensor applications.


Position Requirements

Candidates should have an advanced technical degree or equivalent experience in Physics, Electrical & Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics, Optical Engineering, Astrophysics, Astronomy, or Computer Science. Ph.D. with up to five years postdoctoral experience, Masters degree with up to eight years technical experience, or Bachelors degree with up to ten years technical experience. Strong experience with computer modeling, programming, and computational physics is desirable. Candidate(s) selected must meet eligibility requirements to obtain a Government Top Secret/SCI clearance.
