Seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to work in small teams with SSI scientists and engineers on a variety of projects in sensor and environment modeling and data analysis algorithm development. Typical projects include development of physical models of complex interactions of light and matter, and sensor response, development of advance algorithms for enhancement and exploitation of signals in clutter. Extraction of information from large geospatial/spectral datasets.
- An MS or PhD degree in the physical sciences (physics, atmospheric sciences, image
science, optics, etc.) or engineering (electrical, aerospace, mechanical, etc.).
- Experience should include the development of fundamental physical models, data
analysis algorithms, and/or sensor concepts involving remote sensing for aerospace,
industrial, or medical applications.
- Experience programming with C/C++, Python and/or Fortran, shell scripting, Unix
command line tools.
