Nature of Position: To support ongoing research activities at the Center in using remote sensing for agricultural hydrology. The candidate is expected to provide leadership in developing spatio-temporal scaling algorithms for microwave data using machine learning techniques as part of a NASAfunded project. Responsibilities include conducting research, participating in field work, and writing journal publications and research proposals.
Qualifications: An earned doctorate in Electrical, Computer, Civil, Environmental, or Agricultural Engineering, or a closely related field. Candidate should be experienced in using airborne and/or satellite datasets, developing remote sensing algorithms and machine learning techniques. Applicants should have a good publication record, effective communication skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in the Center, the ABE Department and with other units on campus.
