GRSS is the acronym for Geoscience & Remote Sensing Society, which is a chapter that belongs to the Institute Electrical & Electronics Engineer (IEEE), one of the largest professional and technical organizations worldwide, dedicated to advancing technology benefit of mankind, whose mission is to promote technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity, focused on the vision that this partnership will be essential for the global professional and technical community, being universally recognized for contributions technology and technical professionals in the improvement of global conditions. Now IEEE-Chile is the Chilean Chapter of the IEEE, therefore is governed by the same mission and vision but from the professional technical development and the Chilean reality. Hence the recent creation of the Chilean section of Geoscience and Remote Sensing, IEEE ( www.grss-chile.cl ) to starting its activities, in which the first meeting marks the beginning of this chapter GRSS, with aim to support, promote and develop in Chile, these two area across the spectrum.
