Prof. Qian (Jenny) Du spoke about her career and her recent appointment as the incoming editor-in- chief of IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Applied Earth Observation and Remote Sensing (JSTARS) by the GRSS Administrative Committee in July 2015. Dr. Mariko S. Burgin spoke about her experience attending the IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) International Leadership Conference (ILC) held in May 2016 in San Jose, CA. This conference is organized on a yearly basis in San Jose, CA and consists of plenary/keynote sessions, engaging tracks on innovation, empowerment, executive leadership, disruptive technology and entrepreneurship, and workshops. The conference also has a large career fair and features exhibits by industry sponsors.
